Restaurant Mark’s (Neuturmstrasse 1, Munich) – for those in a mood to splurge on a French dinner, this Michelin-starred restaurant (located within the Mandarin Oriental Hotel) goes as far as shipping in fresh produce from Brittany and Normandy to serve its guests exquisite meals. The chef regularly changes the menu. However, some of the dishes recommended there include filet of beef with a ragout of artichokes and potatoes and deep-fried baby garlic buds; sea wolf with green lentils, bacon, and gooseliver; and filet of beef with horseradish, served with dumplings and Savoy cabbage. Of course, the restaurant’s view of the city adds to the fine dining atmosphere.
