Burg Schwarzenstein (Rosengasse 32, Geisenheim) – the real attraction to this restaurant is its location within a castle (surrounded by vineyards, far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday Frankfurt life, high up above the Rheingau area). Head chef Vincent Orosco treats his guests to refined regional specialties and all sorts of delicacies from the kitchen and the wine cellar. The varied menu is shaped by fresh seasonal and organic local produce, regional specialties and the Rhinegau savoir-vivre. Given the region, it is not surprising to find quite a few Rieslings on the wine list. After all, while you are eating you can enjoy the view of the Schwarzenstein estate and you can even sit on the terrace among the vines in the summer.
